Analysis of Critical Points in the Transportation of Hazardous Substances by Road

Diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of critical points in the transport of hazardous materials on the basis of which there is given a methodology for selecting safe routes. Thethesis includes statistical data on the total performance in the transport of hazardous materials within the EU states as well as specifies the proportion of transport performance of hazardous materials to the total performance among the individual European countries. For Czech Republic, the thesis also presents a statistical overview of the accident rate associated with this kind of transport as well as deals with the causes and consequences of the accidents occured during the transportation.

Identification of forces in the transport of liquids

This bachelor’s thesis deals with transport of liquids on the roads. In the first part of the thesis, tanks are divided by construction, then the problem of transporting of liquids by European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) is analysed. In the second part of the thesis, maximal speeds for a vehicle transporting a liquid during cornering are defined and calculated. These calculations are then applied in the solution of a real-life example.

This thesis deals with preventive measures concerning transport of dangerous goods and how these are observed. Also, it discusses the influence of training and the shortcomings of the training system in the field of ADR. Further, the thesis mentions the development of road side checks connected with the transport of dangerous goods and also accidents connected with this kind of transport. As far as the accidents connected with the transport of dangerous goods are concerned, the main causes of these have been surveyed.

Alternative Dispute Resolution in Civil Disputes between Patients and Heathcare Providers Abstract This thesis is centered on addressing the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods concerning conflict resolution between healthcare providers and patients in the Czech Republic. The initial chapter delves into the substantive aspects of ADR in civil disputes within the healthcare sector. The first subchapter provides a brief overview of the civil liability of healthcare providers. Subchapter two explores the doctor-patient relationship, shedding light on some of its problematic facets that can lead to conflicts. Chapter three focuses on ADR. It not only defines the concept of alternative dispute resolution but also employs charts to compare mediation and litigation, highlighting the potential of ADR. The subsequent subchapter outlines the characteristics of ADR. While a complaint isn't strictly considered an ADR method, it plays a crucial role in the healthcare sector, acting as a precursor to the ADR process. Thus, the following section delves into the complaint mechanism and the individuals responsible for handling complaints, including hospital ombudsmen, lawyers, and the Public Defender of Rights. In the introductory part of the bachelor thesis the individual legal regulations concerning the transport of dangerous goods by road are defined. Furthermore, the classification of dangerous goods according to the ADR agreement and the determination of the conditions for their correct marking, packaging and transport are presented. Then the written requirements for the transport of dangerous goods by road, which are necessary for the transport of dangerous goods within and outside the territory of the Czech Republic, are discussed. Another important part was the description of mandatory vehicle equipment, transport routes and their restrictions. Alternative ways of transporting dangerous goods are also mentioned in the thesis. From the information found, it can be evaluated, among other things, that transport of dangerous goods by road is more economically demanding than transport by ship. As a partial result of this work, innovative proposals for improving the approach to this issue are made.
Family meditation in the Czech republic

This thesis aims to introduce mediation as one of the alternative dispute resolution methods, specifically focusing on its application in the field of family mediation. In the initial part of the thesis, mediation is described, involving its scope, process, and legal regulations in the Czech Republic, in the European Union, and internationally. Following this, family mediation, its objectives, and specific aspects are introduced. The subsequent section conducts a comparative study between family mediation and court proceedings in family law disputes. The study seeks to compare both methods of dispute resolution and to determine whether mediation can be a more effective solution for family law disputes. The areas chosen for comparison are the entrusting the child to the care of another person, the settlement of community property, and the determination of child support. In each of these cases, a comparison is made regarding the initiation of proceedings, their course, duration, the financial difficulty, and the enforceability of the resulting solution. The findings of the comparative study support the hypothesis that mediation can be a more effective approach to resolving family law disputes. 1 Mediation as an alternative way of resolving disputes Abstract This work deals with the increasingly frequent type of dispute resolution, to be concrete it focuses on mediation. In the introduction, the author deals with the essence of conflict. The author also discusses the types of alternative dispute resolution. After this theoretical introductory part, the work focuses exclusively on mediation. It describes the history of this institute, the division of types of mediation, analyses the legal regulations and presents a general overview of the mediation procedure and the specifics associated with it. The work mainly deals with the principles of mediation such as confidentiality, voluntariness, with regard to the assumptions and performance of mediation by a registered mediator. The author analyses all the mentioned topics in connection with national legislation and compares it with European legislation so that the reader can understand the development of mediation and its possible pitfalls. The author also provides her suggestions for further cultivation of the mediation environment based on his experience as a registered mediator and a study of foreign mediation practice.
